RTFtoPDFonline ("we", "us", "the site") is built around a simple rule: your documents stay on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice, and the very little else we handle.

Your files

When you convert an RTF file, the reading, parsing, and PDF generation all happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your file is never uploaded to a server, never transmitted over the network, and never stored anywhere by us — we have no ability to see its contents, because it never leaves your device.

Accounts and personal information

There is no sign-up, no login, and no account system. We don't collect your name, email address, or any other personal information through the converter itself.

If you use the Contact page's message form, it opens a pre-filled email in your own mail application rather than submitting data to us directly — whatever you send is only ever visible through that email.

Cookies and local storage

RTFtoPDFonline doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't use local storage for tracking. The single thing we store in your browser's local storage is your light/dark theme preference, so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. It never leaves your browser and isn't linked to you in any way.

Analytics and advertising

At the time of writing, RTFtoPDFonline does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. If that ever changes, this page will be updated to describe what's added and why.

Hosting and server logs

Like most websites, the infrastructure that serves this site may automatically log basic technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps — for security and operational purposes. This is standard web server behavior, not something RTFtoPDFonline adds on top, and it is not used to identify individual visitors or track activity across other sites.

Children's privacy

RTFtoPDFonline is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Your rights
